Amita Ravikiran is a multi-talented artist from India. She is trained in Indian classical vocal music which she practiced for many years also integrating with western classical and folk music collaborating with a wide diversity of musicians.
Amiita did her masters in Folklore and Heritage and completed research work on folk medicine. Amita also practiced Indian folk music and arts. Amita also has facilitated many music community relations workshops and art sessions in Northern Ireland with Beyond Skin.
Glenn Millar is Musician, author, podcaster and community worker with Alternatives Restorative Justice . A flautist with marching bands, author of the best selling book 'Made To Parade' and host of the podcast series of the same name. Glenn has collaborated with a diversity of musicians with Beyond Skin for almost a decade, Marching Metal being the most acclaimed project.
Zarifa Aaghari & Eva Kearney
Zarifa Asghari, who fled Afghanistan to find safety in Northern Ireland took her hand to songwriting through a music project with Beyond Skin and partners, Feile and Oh Yeah Music Centre. It was through Darren Ferguson from Beyond Skin she was introduced to Eva Kearney, a musician from Lurgan. They have become a formidable songwriting duo recently recording their debut EP 'Afghan Girl' at Peter Gabriel's Real World Studios.
Eva Kearney is one of Northern Ireland's rising music stars. Also known as Aqua Tofana she has been touring and performing with her band, whilst also co-managing Zool Records, label, arts collective, creative space, magazine and radio . Eva has been using her music to speak out about violence to women and girls and Afghan women oppression.
